Veteran actor Dharmendra is going to make his OTT debut with ZEE5's web series Taj: Divided by Blood. Sharing the photo of the new look on Wednesday morning, Dharmendra told the fans about his role in the series. He is completely unrecognizable in the role of Sheikh Salim Chishti. His look in his long white beard and turban is very similar to the era of Mughal rule.

Sharing the post, Dharmendra wrote, “Friends, I am playing the character of Sheikh Salim Chishti, who was a Sufi saint. My role in the series is very small, but it is important. I want all your best wishes for this character. Whereas sharing another look related to the series, he went on to write- “This is my second look, hope you have liked it.”

Seeing this look of Dharmendra, his fans went into a frenzy. One user wrote in the comment “Dharmendra ji, this role will be one of your best characters because you are also a poet and you have a good hold on Urdu.” Another fan wrote, “Dharmendra ji you look great in every look.”

Otherwise, it seems that he is some Sufi saint.” The web series was announced at an event held in Mumbai on 14 February. Where apart from Dharmendra of the series, other star casts of the film were also included. This series will soon be streamed on Zee5.

Pertinently apart from Dharmendra, the series also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Naseeruddin Shah, Ashima Gulati, Shubham Kumar Mehra, Taha Shah and Sandhya Mridul will be seen in the lead roles in the series.

The story of the series is set during the Mughal reign when Akbar was choosing a worthy successor for his legacy. The series will delve into the art, poetry, brutality and architecture of Akbar's reign. However, even before this many films have shown the story of Akbar's reign. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see what new this series brings.
