Fact Check: Did Arvind Kejriwal follow adult content page on Twitter? Internet erupts in laughter over bizarre claims

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday became the trending topic on Twitter after netizens started trolling him for allegedly following an adult content page. Netizens started to share screenshots of Arvind Kejriwal allegedly following an adult content account named Esmee. Although it could not be found out who shared the screenshot Arvind Kejriwal allegedly following adult content page, it went viral in no time. In fact, social media users took a swipe at the AAP supremo, mocking him with memes for following an account that posted adult content. However, one user fact-checked trolls saying that Kejriwal was following a Twitter account that was posting funny videos of kids, however, the BJP IT cell changed it into an adult content page.

As per the viral screenshots, AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal allegedly followed a Twitter account named @Esmee4Keeps. The display picture of which shows a woman dressed in skimpy clothes. Social media users shared photos and videos as evidence to back their claim that Kejriwal was indeed following a adult content account and shared creative memes to take a dig at the Delhi CM for his online antics.

However, Post-Truth Page shared a fact check and wrote, "Arvind Kejriwal was following a Twitter account that posted funny videos of kids named "Children Doing Shit" (username: @WastedVideos_) After gaining followers, account was sold & became @Esmee4Keeps SHARE & EXPOSE SHAMELESS BJP IT CELL for trending"

It is pertinent to mention here that after the social media uproar, True Scoop checked if Arvind Kejriwal is indeed following @Esmee4Keeps. However, at the time of writing this report, Kejriwal’s following list had no such account. We cannot confirm if Kejriwal was indeed following the said account as alleged by social media users or it was some conspiracy against the Delhi Chief Minister.

ALT News claims Kejriwal followed Children's Video page

Mohammed Zubair, who was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his fact-checking, took to his Twitter handle and stated that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal did not follow any adult content page but followed a children video page.
