Direct flights from Adampur airport to Mumbai will begin from June. Ahead of the inauguration of this new connectivity, Airport Authority of India and Indigo Airlines officials arrived at the airport, reviewed the preparations and greeted each other.
Indigo Airlines will introduce direct flight service from Adampur to Mumbai from June, which is likely to provide fresh momentum to the region's development. Officials of Airports Authority of India and Indigo Airlines recently made a trip to Adampur Airport to make sure of the preparation and operation of the new service. On this occasion, the officials checked the infrastructure, passenger facilities and technical preparation. On behalf of Airport Authority, Chief Officer Pushpendra Kumar Nirala (APD), Amit Kumar (AGM Civil), Suraj Yadav (Manager Commercial), Surya Pratap (Incharge Operations), and Mohan Panwar (CMO) was present.
Flight schedule
In this new flight facility, Indigo flight will leave Mumbai daily at 2:30 pm and arrive at Adampur at 4:30 pm. This frequent service would not only save time for Adampur-Mumbai passengers, but also unlock new trade and tourism prospects.
This air facility can be a significant step for local residents, businessmen and tourists. This will enhance economic activity between the two cities and new job opportunities will be generated as well. This project is under consideration as another solid initiative towards consolidating regional connectivity under the "UDAN" scheme of the Central Government. The likelihood of more such flights in the future cannot be discounted
