Dominos India issues apology for showing support on ‘Kashmir Day’

Apart from Dominos, KFC and Hyundai have also apologized for their posts.

Top brands like Dominos, KFC, Hyundai have issued apologies for showing support on Kashmir Day. Global companies faced a lot of backlash on social media for their posts on Kashmir Day. Along with Hyundai, KIA, KFC, Isuzu, Suzuki, other brands like Honda, Toyota were also involved in this.

Kashmir Solidarity Day is a national holiday observed in Pakistan on 5 February annually. It is observed to show Pakistan's support and unity with the people of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir and Kashmiri separatists' efforts to secede from India and to pay homage to the Kashmiris who have died in the conflict.

Now, Dominos India has issued a statement on Twitter, stating, “This is the country we have called our home for the last 25 years, and we stand here to protect its legacy forever. We respect and honour everything the country has to offer.”


 “We regret and apologize for the unsolicited social media post published on Domino's social media handles outside the country. As a brand we honour and respect India and remain deeply committed to serving our customers and communities with humility, gratitude and pride,” the statement reads further.


On Monday, KFC India has apologized. They wrote on Twitter, “We deeply apologize for a post that was published on some KFC social media channels outside the country. We honour and respect India, and remain steadfast in our commitment to serving all Indians with pride.”
