Former
US President, Donald Trump announced the sad demise of her first Wife Ivana
Trump, through a social media post on Thursday. “I
am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many,
that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City,” Trump posted on
Truth Social. “She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a
great and inspirational life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald
Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of
her. Rest in Peace, Ivana!”
Ivana
Trump died at her home in Manhattan, New York at the age of 73. Ivana was a
Czech-American businesswoman who rose to fame when she married Donald Trump in
the 80s. Together Ivana and Donald established themselves as an influential power
couple.
The
statement released by the Trump family read, “It is with deep sadness that we
announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ivana Trump. Our mother was an
incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant
beauty, and a caring mother and friend. Ivana Trump was a survivor." The
statement further continued “She fled from communism and embraced this country,
she taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination.
She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children, and ten
grandchildren.”
Domenico
Vacca, the luxury fashion designer from Italy, posted a photo along with Ivana
on Instagram and captioned it, "Too sad to write anything now. I am really
sad and in pain. My beautiful Ivana you left too early. #ivanatrump #rip."
The designer also posted the photo on his story saying, "RIP my beautiful friend."
Former
President Trump’s White House press secretary and Fox News contributor Kayleigh
McEnany tweeted, "My family and I send all of our love and prayers to
President Trump @IvankaTrump @DonaldJTrumpJr @EricTrump and the entire Trump
family for the loss of Ivana Trump. Thinking of you all during this very
difficult time.
Ivana
and Donald had three children, Donald Trump Jr, Ivanka Trump, senior advisor in
the White House during the Presidentship of Donald Trump, and Eric Trump,
executive vice president of the Trump Organisation. The
high-profile couple frequently made the headlines throughout the 80s owing to
the extravagance and lavish lifestyle they had. The two divorced after Donald’s
relationship with actress Marla Maples surfaced. Donald married Marla in 1993.
Ivana
enjoyed a successful business career all by herself, developing clothing,
Jewelry, Beauty Products, and penning a number of books. Past few years despite
the rift, Ivana shared a healthy relationship with Donald. In a book written in
2017, Ivana mentioned that the couple used to meet once a week.
