Seven years later the mystery is all set to sail on yet another journey, Vijay Salgaonkar is up for his family, standing against the Goa Police, who are in absolute stand to unfold the mysterious death of IG’s son.

The makers of the much-awaited movie Drishyam 2 dropped the trailer earlier this afternoon in Goa with a new addition in the form of Akshaye Khanna as a cop alongside the main cast from the movie’s first part.

Ajay Devgn and Tabu among the major star casts of the movie were present at the launch. Drishyam directed by Nishikant Kamat was among the biggest hits of the time during its release back in 2015 and received an overwhelming response from the critics and at the box office as well.

Drishyam is a remake of a Malayalam movie by the same name starring Mohanlal in the lead. The trailer begins with Ajay Devgn’s character Vijay Salgaonkar pleading about his family’s horrific run which continued for over 7 years.

The case has intensified now with police being in full action as Akshaye Khanna enters the scene as a senior investigating officer sets the tone for Vijay to get hold of his family’s lies over Tabu’s IG Meera’s son’s death.

Tabu, also features in the trailer, the former IG as she sets the dramatic tone of suspense and trill saying to Akshaye that “You must not underestimate this ‘4th-fail anpadh’ again.”

Among others in the lead, the film produced by Abhishek Pathak stars Ishita Dutta, Rajat Kapoor, and Shriya which is all set to hit the theatres on November 18, 2022.

The Malayalam original of the film was released in 2013 and starred Mohanlal as the lead. Nishikant Kamat who directed the movie’s first part died at age 50 in 2020 and also has a national award to his credit.

Ajay is all set to reprise one of his most intriguing characters on-screen and continue in Vijay's shoes in the sequel. The story unveils a journey that leaves the audience thinking about what might be his way out this time.
