Among the most awaited movies of the year, Dunki was released in theaters on Demeber 21, 2023 and in no time it became the talk of the town on social media. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki is story of a group of friends who dream to go to London, however, lack English knowledge. Dunki features Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Vicky Kaushal (in special appearance) and more in the leading roles. Notably, Dunki is clashing against the mega South movie Salaar that features Prabhaas in the leading role. Since, Shah Rukh Khan's movie has been released in theaters, Dunki Review is out and majority of fans are disheartened by the movie. Yes! you heard it right. Is Dunki a True Story?
The answer is yes. Although the makers have kept the storyline under wraps, it is reported that Dunki is a true story based on the illegal immigration technique Donkey Flight used by fraudsters. Interestingly, recently in an interview Dunki director Rajkumar Hirani revealed that an image of a real house in Jalandhar inspired him to make the Shah Rukh Khan movie.
The official synopsis of the movie says, "Join Hardy and his four ‘ullu da patthas’ as they embark on their remarkable journey of love, friendship, and nostalgia."
