As per the Drik Panchang, those who want to burn the Ravan effigy on October 4 can perform the ceremony on Tuesday around 05:06 pm to 08:11 pm, while those who want to burn the effigy in the Shravan Nakshatra of Dashami Tithi, they can do it tonight from 11.05. Furthermore, those looking for Ravandahan Timing on October 5 following place, time, and circumstances, can burn the effigy during Pradosh Kaal. On this day you can burn the effigy after sunrise till 08:30 PM at night. Therefore, in India, Dussehra 2022 Ravandahan is likely to be completed before 8:30 PM.

Notably, the term Dussehra is more common in North Indian states, while Vijayadashami has its significance in West Bengal. Dussehra is celebrated with much fanfare and Ram Lila is organised on all nine days of Navratri culminating with the killing of Ravana and burning of his life-size effigy on the tenth day of the festivity, Dussehra or Vijayadashami. For many, Dussehra means the commencement of Diwali preparations, which is celebrated 20 days after Vijayadashami.
