Education department constitutes 'Enrollment Booster Teams' for admission in government schools during the new academic session

According to the spokesperson, these committees have been asked to immediately start activities to increase the enrollment in government schools.

Chandigarh, March 4 :The Punjab School Education Department has constituted 'Enrollment Booster Teams' for admissions for the session of 2021-22 so, that this enrollment drive can be run successfully.

Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the school education department said that the 'Each One, Bring One' campaign launched during the last session 2020-21 was a great success and as a result 15% enrollment had increased from pre-primary to class XII. Therefore, the department has decided to launch a successful campaign for current academic session also.

According to the spokesperson, in the state level committee Mr. Satinder Bir Singh DEO (SS) Amritsar has been appointed as State Coordinator, Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Deputy DEO (EE) Ferozepur has been appointed as Deputy State Coordinator, Mrs. Kamaljit Kaur Principal SSSS Majri, Fathegarh Sahib, as member, Mr. Manoj Kumar BPEO Block Bhunarheri Patiala as Member and Mr. Pramod Bharti Lecturer SSSS, Daulatpur District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar has been appointed as State Media Coordinator. Similarly, District Level, Block Level and Center Level Primary and Secondary Wing Committees have also been constituted.

According to the spokesperson, these committees have been asked to immediately start activities to increase the enrollment in government schools. The committees are directed to make posters, videos, short films regarding the government schools and spread these through social media. It has also been asked to put flexes in common places, markets and roads of villages and cities and to held meetings with Panches, Sarpanches, Councilors and other dignitaries in this regard. Teachers have also been instructed to visit from house to house to motivate people to enroll their children in government schools.
