Ekta Kapoor, Kailsah Kher, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, others tweet in support of Indian Govt post Rihanna's tweet, users say paid tweets

After Rihanna and Greta Thunberg tweeted about the farmers protests in India, the government responded unprecedently. Similarly, users on Twitter allege that Indian Government is using hindi film stars to put across a message to the world.

Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Suniel Shetty, Kailash Kher, Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor came out in support of India government and tweeted by using hashtags India together and India against propaganda. They all tweeted at a time when the government of India had again sent a notice to Twitter to comply with the orders, probably with reference to the order of withholding account posting about farmers' protest.

Now these actors have come out in support of the government and called out propaganda. However, they didn't actually stated whose propaganda but Akshay Kumar retweeted Ministry of External Affair's press statement that links the whole tweet game about Rihanna's tweet.

Kailash Kher in a tweet said, "बढ़ते वर्चस्व को देख भारत विरोधी किसी भी हद तक गिर
रहे. Even in this sad phase of pandemic,India is helping all nations with vaccine supply for the sake of Humanity.Let all realise that India is ONE & will not tolerate comments against it. #IndiaTogether #IndiaAgainstPropaganda."

Ajay Devgn in a tweet wrote, "Don’t fall for any false propaganda against India or Indian policies. It's important to stand united at this hour w/o any infighting #IndiaTogether #IndiaAgainstPropaganda."

Akshay Kumar after retweeting the press statement by Ministry of External Affairs writes, "Farmers constitute an extremely important part of our country. And the efforts being undertaken to resolve their issues are evident. Let’s support an amicable resolution, rather than paying attention to anyone creating differences. #IndiaTogether #IndiaAgainstPropaganda"

Similarly, Karan Johar also tweeted, "We live in turbulent times and the need of the hour is prudence and patience at every turn. Let us together, make every effort we can to find solutions that work for everyone—our farmers are the backbone of India. Let us not let anyone divide us. #IndiaTogether." However he didn't use the hashtag India against propaganda.

Ekta Kapoor while retweeting a Ministry of External Affairs tweet wrote, "Lets stand united against any propaganda. Together we can and we will! #IndiaAgainstPropoganda #IndiaTogether."

One of the users, Mohammad Zubair, @zoo_bear tweeted, "IT cell trolls who were shouting "Paid Tweet.. Paid Tweet.. Paid Tweet" are now asked to retweet Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan and Sunil Shetty's tweets."

It all started after the tweet by Rihanna in which she wrote about the farmers' protest in India. Similarly, Greta Thunberg expressed her solidarity with Indian farmers. One of the users, @YourRishbh tweeted, " Rihanna doesn't need money to tweet bcz her net worth is $600 million but if Akshay Kumar who takes ₹100 crore+ for one movie & does half a dozen movies an year is tweeting about something he must be paid by govt bcz he is poor."
