Elderly farmer dies of Heart Attack while protesting at Shambhu border

An old farmer in his 70s protesting at the Shambhu border reportedly died of a heart attack at the site. He was rushed to the civil hospital in Rajpura at 4am from where he was referred to the Government Rajindra Hospital in Patiala, where he breathed his last. Gyan Singh of Gurdaspur district, who was protesting at the Shambhu barrier on the Punjab-Haryana border, died on Friday morning.

 

Doctors informed that the patient was rushed to the civil hospital of Rajpura at about 4 AM from where he was sent to the Government Rajindra Hospital in Patiala. There he was admitted in the emergency department. 

 

He breathed his last within half an hour of the treatment.  The farmer suffered a massive heart attack. He was in a critical condition when he was admitted and died around 6 AM informed a senior doctor at Rajindra Hospital.
