All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) sitting MLA Akabaruddin Owaisi marked his fifth consecutive victory in Assembly polls from Chandrayangutta Assembly seat in the 2018 Assembly elections in Telangana, on Tuesday.
He won the Chandrayangutta seat by defeating his close rival and BJP candidate Sayyed Shahejadi.However, ruling TRS candidate M Seetharam Reddy stood third, while Congress-led People's Front candidate Esa bin Obald Misri secured the fourth place.The MIM had contested in eight Assembly constituencies, including seven sitting seats in the Assembly elections, held on December 7.
