At a time when Punjab and other parts of India are witnessing scorching heat and a heatwave, the people of Jalandhar will have to bear the problem of electricity cuts, i.e., power outages. Multiple areas of Jalandhar will undergo a power outage on Tuesday, April 22. Hence, people are advised to keep their electricity gadgets charged and fill the water if they do not have. As per the information received, Jalandhar will face a major power outage as the electricity department undertakes urgent maintenance work, including the replacement of underground cables and the repair of key feeders.
Jalandhar Electricity Cut Today
According to officials, the 11 kV Phagwara Gate feeder, connected to the 66 kV Radial Sub-Station (Bashirpura), will be shut down from 9 AM to 12 PM. As a result, several major areas will go without power for three hours.
Areas that will witness electricity cuts on April 22
The affected areas include- Pratap Bagh, Phagwara Gate, Awan Mohalla, Riazpura, Chahar Bagh, Rasta Mohalla, Khodian Mohalla, Saidan Gate, Chowk Soodan, Shekhan Bazaar, Kot Pakshian, Santoshi Nagar, Dhann Mohalla, Qila Mohalla, Adda Hoshiarpur, Qazi Mohalla, Attari Bazaar, Mandi Road, Pratap Road, Kishanpura, Ajit Nagar, Baldev Nagar, Daulatpuri, Laxmipura, Jagatpura, and surrounding areas.
Furthermore, the 11 kV Sangat Singh Nagar feeder, connected to the Patel Chowk Sub-Station, will also be switched off between 10 AM and 12 PM. Residents in Sangat Singh Nagar, Kabir Nagar, Rose Park, Gulab Devi Road, Windsor Park, and nearby regions should prepare for the outage.
