YouTuber Elvish Yadav of Gurugram, Haryana appeared in Gurugram court on Tuesday in a case related to the use of poisonous snakes. In this case, the complainant Saurabh Gupta, a member of People for Animals (PFA) organization, sent a letter to the court in which he claims said that he is receiving threats from the International Wildlife Gang.
He fears that he may also be attacked like Punjabi singers Sidhu Moosewala and Nafe Singh Rathi. Saurabh said that a longer date should be given in this case so that the police can ensure their safety. During the hearing, Elvish’s lawyer appeared in the court on his behalf. While hearing the proceedings, the court of Justice Manoj Rana fixed the next appearance for March 28. The status report of the investigation was to be submitted in the court today.
Saying that there is a threat to his life, Saurabh Gupta has sent this letter to the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, District and Sessions Judge of Gurugram Surya Pratap Singh and Gurugram Police Commissioner. According to the letter sent, he is continuously receiving death threats on social media. Saurabh further said that he is being pressurized to withdraw the complaint. He had also given a complaint about this in Nandgram police station of Ghaziabad. According to him, the people who are threatening him are of criminal nature.
What is the case?
In the year 2023, the song 32 Bor by singer Fazilpuriya and Elvish Yadav was launched, in which snakes were used. 20 snakes were used in the entire song, out of which 6 snakes were of rare species. Objecting to this, PFA had given a complaint to Gurugram Police.
People for Animals (PFA) organization member Saurabh Gupta had said in his complaint that singers Fazilpuriya and Elvish Yadav have used snakes in the song in a commercial manner.
Permission to shoot the video was not taken from the Animal Welfare Board and the administration, nor was the forest department informed about it. When Gurugram Police did not register the complaint, Saurabh Gupta applied in the court.
