D-Day finally arrived on Monday for the actors around the world giving powerful performances in web series, TV shows, and movies released directly on OTT. On Monday, the 74th Emmy Awards concluded which was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Hosted by Kenan Thompson like last year, the Primetime Emmy Awards 2022 concluded with Succession, The White Lotus, and Squid Games getting multiple accolades. In the Primetime Emmy Awards 2022, HBO's show 'Succession' had the most nominations, with 25 and as a result it took home awards for best drama and writing for a drama series, and Matthew Macfadyen took home the Emmy for best-supporting actor in a drama.

Apart from Succession, 'The White Lotus' won for best-limited series, best writing, and best directing, as well as for best-supporting actor and actress for Murray Bartlett and Jennifer Coolidge.The Squid Games brought sensation and won the hearts of people around the world also ended its Emmy run on a high as Lee Jung-jae became the first person from a foreign language show, “Squid Game,” to win best actor in a drama. Not only this, but Hwang Dong-hyuk also won an Emmy for best directing for a drama for 'Squid Game'.
