A family in Kapurthala district took a poisonous chemical during a money transaction in rural Sangatpura, near Phagwara town. When their condition deteriorated, the neighbors and relatives transported them to Civil Hospital Phagwara. Hardeep Singh (41) is still in serious condition in the hospital, whereas his mother Kuldeep Kaur (77), wife Ruchi (38), daughter Rubani (12), and son Nav (9) are all doing well now.

Due to Hardeep's critical condition, physicians from Civil Hospital Phagwara have referred him to Civil Hospital Jalandhar. Hardeep's wife, Ruchi Jaswal, stated that he had some money transaction for which the police had been to the house. Following this, at around 10.30 p.m., all of the family members gathered and all took poison and consumed it.

Hardeep's mother, Kuldeep Kaur, stated that her son had transferred the money he had borrowed from friends to their bank accounts. Despite this, his pals used to bully him. Last night, their friends called the cops to their house. As a result, he felt insulted. Following this, the son brought poison, which everyone freely consumed. They all survived, but the son is in critical condition.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Hardeep's wife has a private job whereas he himself works as a travel agency to relocate people abroad. He got caught up in a quackery game in which he took money from others. People kept putting pressure on him to refund the money. Meanwhile, the police were called, and the family consumed poison. The police officers that arrived on the scene are currently investigating the incident. Harjinder Singh, sub-inspector of the Rawal Pindi police station, stated that the incident is being investigated. He speculated that the problem could be tied to a money transaction, the stress of which caused the family to consume poison.
