Etawah: A bizarre case of marriage denial has come to light in Uttar Pradesh, where the bride did not like the facial colour of the groom, and then refused to marry him. The bride refused the marriage because the groom was too 'dark'. This is the reason that after this step of the bride, the procession returned barefoot. It is said that the boy whose picture was shown to the girl before marriage was not that. In his place, another boy had come to get married, because of this, the girl refused to marry and considered it appropriate to return to the procession.

This case is of Nagla Bagh in the Bharthana area of Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh, where the marriage of Balram Yadav's daughter Neetu was fixed with Ravi Yadav of Jafarpur in the Usrahir area. The procession reached village Nagla Bagh at its scheduled time late on Wednesday evening, where the girl's side fervently respected the boy's side. The bridegroom reached Nagla Bagh on Wednesday with a procession, where the wedding rituals were completed with bandwagons.

When the groom reached the pavilion for the rounds, the bride was also brought to the pavilion. After this, when the rounds started, after two rounds(pheras), the girl suddenly refused to marry and got up from the pavilion and left.

As soon as the bride refused to marry, a stampede broke out on the groom's side and the village elders involved in the procession started trying to convince the bride, but the bride did not agree. The bride's mother Meena Devi told that the boy whose picture was sent for Neetu before marriage was not a boy. The groom was another boy. That's why Neetu refused to get married.

Neetu, who refused to marry, told that the face colour of the groom shown in the picture was clear. Whereas the person who was getting married, his colour was very dark, so she refused to marry. The initiative of compromise, which lasted for 6 hours on the bride and groom's side, could not bear fruit and the procession returned to their village without taking the bride.

Here, on behalf of the boy's side, the groom's father has applied to the police station accusing the girl's father and saying that on Wednesday night, after all the wedding rituals, she refused to marry, while the marriage was given. Moreover, the Gold and silver jewellery remained with the bride.

Here, the groom Ravi Yadav, disappointed with the bride's refusal to marry, says that he does not know why the marriage has been refused. The groom said that his life has been ruined, and I do not understand anything, whereas, before marriage, Neetu's family members had come many times to see him.
