Excise team intercepts car with 25 boxes of Symposium 111 Gold marked liquor

Excise police and Punjab Police jointly recovered illegal liquor, FIR registered against the contractors

The police has recovered 25 boxes of illegally liquor from Y-point, Bhagat Singh Colony, Jalandhar. The police got the information and then chased the car carrying the illegal liquor. The excise team comprises EO Harjot Singh, EO Jaspreet Singh and EI Raman Bhagat along with Excise Police staff and Punjab Police staff.

In the checking, the police recovered 25 boxes of Symposium 111 Gold marked liquor. These bottles were for overseas export. The contractors purchase the liquor from other states at cheap rates and sell them at higher rates.

 The police has arrested Jasbir Singh the driver of the vehicle on the spot. During the investigation, Jasbir revealed the name of two liquor contractors Pawan and Raman of Kapurthala. When the police raided the godown at Dhaliwal bet of Kapurthala District they recovered 275 boxes of the same brand. The police has filed the FIR against them and doing further investigation.
