Former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Friday painted BJP's 'Abki Baar 400 Paar' tagline in Congress' colour. Charanjit Channi stated that Congress will win 400 seats in Lok Sabha Elections 2024 and the rest will be won by the BJP and other parties. Not only this, Channi lambasted Jalandhar West MLA Sheetal Angural and accused him of spreading drug addiction in Jalandhar. While on his way to file his nomination to fight Lok Sabha Elections 2024 from Jalandhar, Charanjit Singh Channi talked exclusively to True Scoop News. Below is an expert of the exclusive interview of CHaranjit Singh Channi.

Q.1- BJP has set the target of winning at least 400 seats under 'Abki Baar 400 Paar'

Charanjit Singh Channi answers, "Yes it will be over 400 (400 paar). But 400 seats will be won by the Congress and with the rest of the seats BJP will play.

Q.2- What are the issues of Jalandhar that you are focusing on?

Charanjit Singh Channi answers, "There is drug smuggling going on in Jalandhar. Leaders of Jalandhar who recently switched to the BJP from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), MLA Angural (Sheetal Angural) has spread drug smuggling, betting, and lottery systems. Yesterday,  a consignment of drugs was busted here. MLA Sheetal Angural has applied for blanket bail. It is clear that for the past two years, AAP Government has sold drugs in Jalandhar and now the BJP party has adopted those leaders."

For the unversed, Jalandhar West MLA Sheetal Angural, who had left the AAP in March to join the BJP, has applied for bail in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, apprehending that he could be booked by the Punjab Police on account of political vendetta. The next hearing will take place on May 15, 2024. Sheetal Angural stated that he was also getting threatening calls from foreign numbers. Angural was quoted saying, "I am still an MLA but the state government has cut down my security from 12 to just three men now. Since I have changed the party, the government is no longer concerned about my safety. I indeed have central security too, but it may not continue after elections."
