One of the major reasons for the low rate of development in India and the one problem that every youngster faces is Unemployment. The rate of unemployment is high in India and every government that comes to power promises to tackle it. The Modi government also promised to provide jobs but has the promise been fulfilled?

Rahul Gandhi has recently tweeted through his handle that the Modi Government has failed to employ the youth of India.

Reportedly,  there has been a decline in the number of candidates selected for government jobs from the year 2014-15.

A startling fact that has come to the notice is that a total of 22.05 crore applications have been received from 2014-2021 out of which, till now only 7.22 lakh are recommended for employment in government jobs. This was informed in the Lok Sabha yesterday.   According to these statistics less than 1% of youngsters have been employed till now which directly points to the failure of the central government to employ the youth of India.

Employment has always been the top priority of the central government. The government can’t be seen fulfilling the promise of providing jobs to most of the youth of the country so that nobody has to go through the phase of unemployment.

Although 7.22 lakh people have received jobs, what about the youth remaining? Will the government take some steps to employ them as well?

Sukhwant Kaur, a resident of Urban Estate stated that after 2 years of completing graduation, she is still facing difficulty to find a job.

Aman Sharma of Shastri Nagar says, “After the elections, I was waiting for ache din to come, but I applied for the government job 8 years ago and still haven’t got any.”

Raghav, student of a university said that he is not at all happy with how the government is trying to tackle the problem of unemployment.

Rahul Gandhi also tweeted on the same issue saying that
