The picture, which is being claimed to be from the haldi ceremony of Athiya, shows wedding attendees applying haldi to the actress. However, the picture in question is from a shot of Athiya's film 'Motichoor Chaknachoor'. For the unversed, 'Motichoor Chaknachoor', was released in 2019 and it also starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the lead. It tells the story of an NRI businessman, who while trying to find a wife back home in Bhopal, meets his much younger neighbour, Anita Awasthi (Athiya Shetty). Anita wants to marry someone settled abroad, what ensues is a series of humorous events peppered with drama.

Athiya Shetty-KL Rahul Marriage

Meanwhile, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty are getting married on January 23, 2023, at Suniel Shetty's Khandala residence 'Jahaan'. Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul reportedly met through a mutual friend in February 2019 and hit it off in no time. The two continued to see each other and soon fell in love. They, however, decided to keep their relationship under wraps. KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty eventually made their first post together in December 2019. Notably, KL Rahul suffered a groin injury that required treatment in 2022. Athiya Shetty accompanied the cricketer to Germany where he had undergone a surgical procedure.
