India, in the early morning of Wednesday, carried out Air Strikes and destroyed 9 terror launch pads in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). India's airstrike on Pakistan and PoK came as a retaliation over the cowardly Pahalgam Terror Attacks in which Pakistan-based terror organisation LeT's offshoot TRF claimed responsibility for killing 27 innocent tourists based on their religion. With Pakistan is now exposed and humiliated on the global stage, it has now spread misinformation on social media in order to save its face.
Multiple pro-Pakistani social media pages on X are sharing videos with the claim that the Pakistan Air Forces have shot down one Indian Rafale jet and one Su-30 jet.
Truth behind Pakistan shooting down Rafale and Sukhoi
The multiple videos and photos that are being flooded on X by Pro-Pakistani social media handles is totally false and misleading. PIB also fact checked the viral video and photos shared by Pakistanis saying that it shot down Rafale. PIB in its fact check stated, "Several pro-Pakistan social media accounts are falsely claiming that Pakistan has shot down an Indian Rafale fighter jet along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch sector of Kashmir. Pakistan Army has NOT shot down any Indian fighter jet. The video shared is of a Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jet that crashed in Maharashtra in June 2024. Users are advised to exercise caution while sharing unverified claims circulating on social media platforms."
X also verified multiple social media posts of the Pakistanis who are sharing separate videos and photos claiming it shot down Rafale and Sukhoi. In of the fake posts, X note reads, "The photo on the left is from 2021. A MiG-21 Fighter Jet crashed in Punjab, India..The photo on the top right is from September, 2024. A MiG-29 fighter jet crashed in Rajasthan, India."
The amount of fake videos and pictures that are being shared showcases that Pakistan's ISDGPR has started its cheap tactic of spreading misinformation and trying to save the Pakistani Army's face from global humiliation.
