Despite India's warning of consequences, Pakistan on Thursday night carried failed drone attack on multiple key locations of India. Pakistan fired its drones in the hope of targeting military installations in Jammu, Pathankot, and Rajasthan. Multiple drones were also seen over the sky of Jalandhar and other parts of Punjab (India). However, India's Air Defence System thwarted all drone attacks and neutralised every drones that were fired by the Pakistanis. In the meantime, multiple videos went viral on social media showcasing drones getting destroyed in the sky of Punjab.
However, one particular video alleged that a Pakistani drone crashed near CT College Jalandhar on Thursday night. In the viral video, a few boys, allegedly students, can be heard screaming, 'Drone! Missile! Drone! Missile! CT College Ke Paas Mein (Near CT College)".
Truth behind CT College Drone Attack
Notably, the video that has gone viral with the claims that drone attacked near areas of CT College is totally false and misleading. The Government of India's PIB has fact-checked the video. It wrote, "Drone Attack in Jalandhar..This drone strike video from #Jalandhar is widely circulating on social media.. This is an unrelated video of a farm fire. The video has the time 7:39 PM, while the drone attack began later. Do not share this video."
Notably, True Scoop quoted DC Jalandhar Himanshu Aggarwal on Friday night, in which he had informed, "Regarding CT college video..This is an unrelated video. Jalandhar has seen some drones tonight, and they are being neutralised by the Army. This video is at 7.39 pm, as can be seen in the display, while the first drone was sighted near 9 pm. This has been confirmed as a farm fire. Please don't spread the video."
