In a horrific development, Ghufran Sawadi famous by the name of Om Fahad or Umm Fahad on Friday was shot dead outside her home in Baghdad. Iraq's Interior Ministry confirmed Ghufran Sawadi aka Om Fahadi's murder in a statement saying it is 'forming a specialized work team to find out the circumstances of the killing of a woman known on social media by unknown assailants.'. Now, Om Fahadi's murder video has surfaced on social media and netizens are in shock as it looked like a well-planned assassination.
Om Fahad's murder video was caught on CCTV cameras installed outside the TikToker's house. The video showcased a gunman riding a motorcycle shooting and killing Sawadi on the spot. An Iraqi security source was quoted by a newwire saying that the attacker appeared to have been pretending to be making a food delivery. The US-owned Al Hurra news agency, meanwhile, reported that another woman was injured in the attack.
Who was Om Fahad?
Om Fahad's real name was Ghufran Sawadi. As per reports, she was better known as Umm Fahad or Om Fadad. Om Fahad aka Umm Fahad used to share videos of herself dancing to pop music in form-fitting clothes. In the past, these videos were deemed inappropriate by Iraq’s judiciary. Ghufran Sawadi was sentenced to six months in prison for 'the crime of producing and publishing several films and videos containing obscene and indecent language, violating public decency and morals."
