In the times of coronavirus scare, India is also fighting against fake and malicious news. Recently, news broke out that the Government of India will be imposing an emergency in April due to coronavirus and the army will be deployed to enforce the action.

However, the Indian Army page of twitter rubbished the news and termed it as fake. ADGPI tweeted, "Fake and malicious messages are circulating on social media about likely declaration of emergency in mid-April and employment of #IndianArmy, #Veterans, NCC and NSS to assist the civil administration.
It is clarified that this is absolutely FAKE."

Earlier fake news of Indian army building a 1000 bed quarantine facility had surfaced. However soon it was nullified
