Famous Punjabi comedian Kake Shah accused of cheating in name of sending abroad, probe underway

Allegedly he took 6 lakh rupees from victim but neither sent him to abroad nor returned the money.

Cases of immigration frauds have seen a rise in Jalandhar. Various cases are reported in which travel agents dupe people in the name of sending them abroad. Another shocking case has come to light in which famous stand-up comedian Kake Shah is being alleged of committing fraud with person. Allegedly he took 6 lakh rupees from victim but neither sent him to abroad nor returned the money.

The incident reported is from Rasta Mohalla. Victim was identified as Navneet Anand. Navneet while giving information about case revealed that he paid Rs. 6 lakhs to Kake Shah who assured him of sending him overseas, but even after a long wait he did not send him to UK. When Navneet asked him to return the money, he refused to do so. Soon after this Navneet Anand filed a complaint against famous comedian Kake Shah and accused him of cheating. Police have registered the complaint and intitated a search operation to find him.

As per information, Kake Shah placed a deal with Naveen of Rs. 10 lakhs, 6 lakhs were paid as advance and 4 lakhs were to be paid after Visa approval. Navneet Anand told that on February 16, 2022, he transferred Rs 1 lakh to Kake Shah's bank account and on February 27, 2022, his brother Vaneet Anand sent Rs 2 lakh 70 thousand. Later Kake Shah and his companion came to his house and took away with 2 lakh 30 thousand rupees in cash and a copy of his bank statement. They assured him of getting Visa soon.

In regard to this case, Kamaljit in-charge of police station number 3, said that an FIR has been lodged against famous comedian Kake Shah. Although his house was raided this morning but he is absconding.
