A 28 year-old youth fan of Kannada film actor Yesh, succumbs to burns

Bengaluru: Yesterday, in a tragic incident, a 28 year-old youth who was a fan of Kannada film actor Yesh succumbed to burns suffered after trying to commit suicide by self immolating. The boy died in Victoria hospital on Wednesday.

Police said that the victim Ravi is a fan of Yesh and had been to his house at Hosakerehalli to greet him on his birth day.  When Yesh did not turn up he attempted to commit suicide by torching himself after pouring kerosene on his body.  He was immediately rushed to Victoria Hospital with 80 per cent burn injury.  He breathed his last today.

Yesh had decided not to celebrate his birth day due to death of film actor turned politician and former Karnataka Minister M H Ambareesh and had announced his intention not to celebrate and had even appealed to his fans to cooperate with him and not to indulge in taking any extreme step.

After getting information about Ravi attempting to commit suicide, Yesh visited the hospital and had inquired about his health yesterday. However, Ravi succumbed to burns today morning. Girinagar Police have registered a case and investigating.
