Faridkot Youth shot in leg after scuffle with a Petrol Pump owner; caught on CCTV

The petrol pump owner had an argument with a young man who had come to fill petrol at Farid Kisan Seva Kendra petrol pump in Aulakh village of Faridkot district of Punjab. The matter escalated so much that the petrol pump owner opened fire with his licensed 32 bore revolver. The young man named Amarendra Singh was shot in the leg and had to be admitted to GGS Medical Hospital, Faridkot for treatment.

 

Giving information in this regard, the family members of the victim youth said that they had to get their wheat sprayed yesterday and their sons had come to collect petrol from the petrol pump of Aulakh village for the spray pump. While he had an argument with the pump workers regarding the petrol rate, the pump owner opened fire on their boys. He told that about 5 bullets were fired from the pump owner, due to which their son Amarendra Singh was shot in the leg. The young man who fell after being shot was hit on his head with a pipe and the butt of the pistol. They said that the pump owner has tried to kill the youth and action should be taken against him and we should get justice. 

 

Talking on this occasion, the investigating officer said that he had received information that a bullet had been fired at the petrol pump of village Aulakh. He said that police reached the spot and found that Amarendra Singh, a youth from nearby village Ghaniwala, was shot in his leg and had been admitted to GGS Medical, Faridkot for treatment. He said that further action will be taken after recording the statement of the injured youth.
