Navreet Singh, 27, who died at the protest site duringthe unrest in Delhi on January 26 was cremated in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh onWednesday.
As per reports published in various newspapers, manyofficials were present during his cremation.
Station House Officer (SHO) of Bilaspur, Brijesh Yadavsaid, "Post-mortem of the body was conducted in Rampur today and itsreport stated that there were five injuries on the body. The report statedcause of death occurred due to head injury.” He was quoted by The Indianexpress saying there was no law and order problem during his cremation.
Manseet Kaur (21) is Navreet's wife who is still inAustralia and couldn't attend his last rites owing to suspension of flights dueto Covid-19. Reportedly, Singh had also returned recently from Australia.
According to his family members, Navreet had been toAustralia for further studies after completing his schooling in India. Hereturned over a year ago. As per reports, Navreet's family had no idea of hisparticipation in the demonstration because he had told them that he was goingto Uttarakhand.
