Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder's wife & BJP leader Preneet Kaur on Sunday faced major opposition from protesting farmers. Preneet Kaur who will be contesting Lok Sabha Elections from Patiala on BJP's ticket had to ignore the anti-BJP chants of farmers. Notably, BJP leaders have been facing the ire of farmers wherever they are going in Punjab. In the video, the farmers can be heard chanting 'BJP Murdabad' & 'BJP Haye Haye'. However, despite the anti-BJP chants, Preneet Kaur continued her election campaign and met people in her constituency.
Interestingly, in the last three days, Preneet Kaur is the third BJP candidate who was opposed by the farmers and an attempt was made to stop her convoy as well. On Saturday, farmers protested against the convoy of BJP candidate from Amritsar, Taranjit Singh Sandhu. The farmers also raised slogans of BJP Murdabad. Professionally, Taranjit Singh Sandhu is a retired Indian diplomat who served as High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka and 28th Ambassador of India to the United States.
