Farmers had yesterday announced to take out a tractor march across the country for several demands including the law guaranteeing Minimum Support Price (MSP). Regarding this, today the farmers have installed tractors on the Dakoha flyover and have also installed tractors on the National Highway. However, during this period they have not blocked the highway, hence it is open for traffic movement.

While giving information about the matter, farmer leader of BKU Rajewal, Mukeshchandra Sharma said that the farmers have been protesting on the border since February 13. During this period, the police and administration on the border have forbidden people from traveling to Delhi. In light of this a tractor march is being taken out across the country today. He said that farmers are carrying out tractor march on the highway today.

Mukesh, informed of the meeting of leaders regarding WTO (World Trade Organisation). He shared that as long as the country remains in WTO, they have no hope of getting MSP (Minimum Support Price). If they continue working under WTO, we will not be able to get full compensation for the crops, which will cause loss to the farmers. He said that in anger over centre’s actions against the farmers, they have parked the tractor on the National Highway and turned them towards Delhi.

On the other hand, Jathedar Kashmir Singh said that today the Modi government is misleading the people by calling it a ‘double-engine’ government. He said that the farmers sitting on the border are being tortured by the Haryana government. 4 farmers have already died in this incident including 2 youth. He said that PM Modi had guaranteed to make a law regarding MSP. Kashmiri Singh said that where is the guarantee given to the farmers by the Central Government today? In anger over this, the farmers are protesting by taking out a tractor march.
