After putting the farm laws on hold the Apex Court hadformed a committee that will provide its report in two months.

As the deadlock between the government and protestingfarmers seems to intensify after farmer bodies rejects to be the part of thecommittee formed by government, the government is going to hold 10th round oftalks with the farmers' leaders on January 19.

Union agriculture minister today said, that most of thefarmers and experts are in favor of the laws. He told ANI, "Most of thefarmers and experts are in favour of farm laws. After the Supreme Court's order,the laws can't be implemented."

Tomar said they want the farmers to discuss the farm lawsclause wise but he reiterated that the farmers can tell the government whatchanges do they want except from the repeal of the laws.

Tomar said, the government has sent a proposal to farmersin which the government has told the protesting farmers that it is ready toaddress the apprehensions of the farmers on 'mandis', traders' registrationsand other things.

The government had earlier asked the farmers toconstitute their own informal group for the discussion of the laws and makeproposals comprising of all the expectations of the farmers on January 15,2021.

The farmers' leaders said they had told the Unionagriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Food minister, Piyush Goyal thatthey were not their political rivals.

The unions had also objected to the filing of FIRs andNIA notices sent to farmers' leaders. Now the time will tell if the deadlockbetween both the parties will be eased or not.
