Nashik: Crop failure and mounting loan burden took the lives of four farmers. Three ended their lives by taking poison and one farmer hanged himself on Friday.

Of four, three are from Malegaon tehsil and one from Satana tehsil, informed the police. 

 A 55-year-old farmer Shivaji Nimba Kapadnis from Sarde village in Satana tehsil committed suicide by consuming poison in his farm at Umbardu shivar near his house as his father had taken a loan of Rs 10 lakh, which he could not repay. Owing to this he was in depression and took the extreme step, police said. 
     
In second incident, Dnyaneshwar Shivankar (35) resident of  Kandhane village in Malegaon tehsil also committed suicide by consuming poison.

In the third incident, Chetan Keda Bacchav (23) committed suicide by hanging himself at his house at Nandgaon Khurde village in Malegaon tehsil. 

The incident came to light Saturday morning when Chetan did not open his house; his uncle broke open the door, and found Chetan's body hanging from the ceiling of the room.

 In the fourth incident, Vasant Vyankat Sonawane (45) resident of Sayne village in Malegaon tehsil consumed poison on Thursday night and later he was rushed to the private hospital where he died on Friday. 

A case has been registered and further investigation was on, police added.
