The United Nations (UN) Human Rights body on late Fridayevening took to twitter and asked both the Indian government and protesters toexercise ‘maximum restraint’ during the ongoing farmers protest.

Thedevelopment has come after plethora of international celebrities tweetedagainst the violation of human rights as the Indian government banned internetservices at Delhi borders, detained a few journalists and asked the twitter toblock accounts related to farmers protest.

Takingto Twitter the UN Human Rights body wrote, "#India: We call on theauthorities and protesters to exercise maximum restraint in ongoing#FarmersProtests. The rights to peaceful assembly & expression should beprotected both offline & online. It's crucial to find equitable solutionswith due respect to #HumanRights for all".
