In a major step towards transforming Punjab into an investor-friendly destination, the Punjab government has launched the Fast Track Punjab portal to promote investment in the state and attract big companies. Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal were present on this occasion. The initiative aims to streamline the approval process for businesses and eliminate bureaucratic delays by offering a single-window online system that promises all necessary industrial approvals within 45 days. This application can be made from anywhere. There will be no need to run around government offices.
The state is already active in bringing industry. An office named Invest Punjab is already ready in Mohali. If a person wants to set up his industry, then he has to apply to the Punjab office after seeing the land, etc. After that, all the approvals are obtained in 15 to 17 days, and the process of registration is done. As per the Punjab Government, over Rs 88,000 crore worth of investment has already flowed into the state since AAP came to power, generating employment for around 4 lakh people. The state has also implemented a logistics policy, introduced green stamp paper, and launched a single-window clearance system to enhance transparency and investor confidence.
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann took to his X handle and posted, "(Translated version) Today in Mohali, along with National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal ji, I launched the 'Fast Track Punjab Portal' under Udyog Kranti. Through this portal, industries in the state will get a new momentum.
This scheme has been prepared for big companies with the aim of attracting maximum investment in the state. Under this, investors will get all the necessary permissions related to the industry within just 45 days from the date of application. For this, investors can apply online from anywhere in the country. While this scheme will promote business in Punjab, it will also create new employment opportunities for the youth. Along with this, an infrastructure fund of Rs 200 crore has also been established, so that industrialists do not face any kind of difficulty in expanding their business. We are continuously working to make the industry strong and prosperous in Punjab. Only with the joint efforts of the government and entrepreneurs, Punjab will shine on the map of the country and become the number 1 state."
