Fans of PUBG in India now have a reason to rejoice.

PUBG was a mainstay of young Indians of this generation. Butthe game was banned from India. Countless young Indians missed their bonding timewith their friends.

Whether the kids gathered at a friend’s home or connectedonline, “Winner winner chicken dinner! Winner winner chicken dinner” was alwaysa satisfying conclusion to a time well-spent.

However, the kids were left without any avenue to spendtheir time, especially when the pandemic COVID-19 forced the kids within theconfines of their home.

But, our young Indians need not miss their favorite genre ofvideo game.

A battle royale game is an online multiplayer video gamegenre that blends the survival, exploration, and scavenging elements of asurvival game with last-man-standing gameplay.

An indigenous video game with title rhyming with the Hindi pronunciationof word ‘soldier’, FAU-G is being prepared. Actor Akshay Kumar released ateaser of the game on the day of Dussehra claiming, “Today we celebrate thevictory of good over evil, and what better day to celebrate our Fearless andUnited Guards, our FAU-G! On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, presentingthe #FAUG teaser.”

The video shows warriors in the likeness of Indian Army soldiers.

The game is being developed by Bengaluru-based video gamestudio NCore. Vishal Gondal, co-founder, NCore claimed that the video game willbe in the hands of the players by the end of this month. The company intends toreach 20 crore users in a year.

The co-founder’s vision would make every Indian proud, “There’sa belief that Indian game developers can’t produce good quality games, at nCorewe want to prove that mentality wrong and bring out games that can compete withinternational games.”
