India is facing a huge surge in fresh coronavirus cases. The second wave of coronavirus has broken all records of the year 2020. Now, the Maharashtra government has suggested lockdown ascoronavirus cases are rising uncontrollably. Delhi is also facing the same problem. The health systems are collapsing and the nation is also witnessing a vaccine shortage.

Following the current situation of corona in the country, everyone is afraid of being trapped for one more time. Thus, the migrants, laborers, and other workers have started returning totheir native places. People can be seen at railway stations and bus stops carrying their belongings along with them. Long lines are seen on Delhi, Mumbai, Surat, and Bhopal platforms as people are desperately waiting for trainsand buses.

The railway authorities are seeing the rush which they usually had to witness when workers return from home. However, this time the crowd is moving out of these big cities. Trains are filledwith people, completely avoiding social distancing.

In 2020, the entire nation went under lockdown for months, and migrants were stuck in cities without work and food. Due to zero transportation facility, they started walking on foot, bycycles, or other alternatives to their homes which led to the deaths of many.

A migrant worker said, “the pain and torture we had to face during the lockdown in 2020 is still fresh in my memory. This time I can’t take any chance.”

Some migrants also revealed that there is a reduction in jobs and if the situation remains the same, they will not get any work in the upcoming days.
