Agartala: Multi-phased discussion with the state government and other stakeholders will be conducted by the 15th Finance Commission panel. The panel is led by its Chairman Dr N K. The panel is on a three days visit which begins today to decide the quantum of gap grant for Tripura for 2020-25.
The 15 member panel will have separate discussion with the Panchayatraj institutions, Tripura tribal areas Autonomous District Council, different Political parties, Chief Minister and Council of Ministers to assess the anticipated financial liabilities of the state for next five years.
They will also hold discussion with the trade, commerce and industry bodies of the state.
The commission will leave the state on January 18. The Commission has scheduled to visit Palatana Thermal power project.
