FIR against Punjabi singer Kamal Grewal & stuntman Happy Mahla after Reel on 'Sarkari Ban' song

Two separate cases have been filed against tractor stuntman Happy Mahla and Punjabi singer Kamal Grewal after a reel was made on a 7-year-old song.

Famous Punjabi singer Kamal Grewal and stuntman Happy Mahla have come under the scanner of Punjab Police over the controversial song 'Saraki Ban'. As per reports, two separate cases have been filed against tractor stuntman Happy Mahla and Punjabi singer Kamal Grewal after a reel was made on a 7-year-old song. Gaganpal Singh alias Happy Mahla who is a resident of Moga recently made an Instagram reel on Kamal Grewal's controversial song 'Sarkari Ban'. Happy Mahla's viral reel came under the scanner of Punjab Police on December 17, 2023, and following that they both have been booked under relevant sections. 

 

Happy and Kamal have been booked under sections 188 and 279 for violating the Motor Vehicle Act. At the same time, another case has been registered against Punjabi singer Kamal Grewal regarding this song. Reports suggest that Punjab Police have considered this song to be provocative. Police believe that this song is having a negative impact on the youth regarding law and order. This song was uploaded on social media in 2016. At that time, Shiromani Akali Dal was in power in Punjab. This song was composed by singer Kamal Grewal in his context.

 

Notably, 29-year-old Sukhman Deep Singh was killed in a similar manner while performing stunts with a tractor in Gurdaspur district. He was showing his stunts during a Kabaddi match. After this, the government took this matter seriously and banned such dangerous stunts. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann himself had commented on this matter on social media.
