A defamation case has been filed in Mumbai against Comedian Sunil Pal. Sunil Pal had made an objectionable comment on his social media about doctors treating patients during the Corona period. The comedian had said that '90 percent doctors are demons and they are scaring patients.' However, the Comedian later apologized for this. But now the Andheri police of Mumbai have registered an FIR against him.

In his video, Sunil Pal, while comparing the doctors to the monsters, also said that 'most doctors are thieves' and they do not take care of poor patients. Andheri police has registered an FIR on the complaint of Dr. Sushmita Bhatnagar on Tuesday. Dr. Sushmita Bhatganagar (55) is the President of the Association of Medical Consultants (Mumbai).

After the FIR was filed, Sunil Pal told ETimes, “ I apologized later for what I said in the video. If anyone is hurt by what is said in the video, I apologize again. But I still hold on to my comments, because the doctors were considered to be Gods. However, poor people are being persecuted in this difficult period. This is what I said in the video that 90% of the doctors are dressed in demons and the rest are still 10% of the doctors who are performing their duty to serve the people. Doctors who are doing their duty honestly, should not be sad about these things. I have not received any notice in this regard from the police so far”.
