#FirstStoryPositive: Women empowerment par excellence

Only a woman can juggle so many roles and excel in all of them. Don’t be fooled by her docile looks. She is a doctor, a homemaker, a researcher, and she did something to make her nation’s flag proud.

A gynaecologist, Dr Maya Rathod, is a simple-looking Indian girl who seems to carry the weight of her accomplishments effortlessly on her shoulders.

She is mother of two, lives with her husband, and cooks food for the entire family every morning. Now, that’s a homemaker par excellence.

Her elder daughter is dropped off to school by her by Dr Maya Rathod.

She is also an international traveller and went to Australia to do research on In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).

Now, you would agree that for a strong woman these many accomplishments are enough to put any misogynist to shame, but there’s more.

Waking up every day at 4 am, she would train physically for three hours.

Why? To represent India at the 2021 Australian International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness championships in Sydney.

And, she made her home country proud.

She won first place in the novice figure division and third place overall in figure.

So this morning, this is a call to every human who is fortunate enough to be born a female and those who later chose to identify as a girl to stop putting obstacles in their path.

Let Dr Maya Rathod’s example set your soul on fire – dream big, work smart not hard, and multitask. Career is important.

Girls, do not let society and evil patriarchy tell you that you cannot achieve excellence in more than one field.

The media of the world is waiting with bated breath to cover your story. Go out, work smart, use your intelligence, and achieve so many things that the world has to stop and admire your beautiful accomplishments.
