The “Scheduling Conflicts” is what was told and we knew why about Shia LaBeouf’s exit from Olivia Wilde’s directorial Don’t Worry Darling which later landed up with Harry Styles opposite the cast of Florence Pugh.

Right before the production started LaBeouf took an exit from the project. However, in the latest interview with the American media firm Variety, Olivia Wilde has given a new perspective of why the actor took the exit.

“I say this as someone who is such an admirer of his work,” Wilde begins. “His process was not conducive to the ethos that I demand in my productions. He has a process that, in some ways, seems to require combative energy, and I don’t personally believe that is conducive to the best performances.

I believe that creating a safe, trusting environment is the best way to get people to do their best work. Ultimately, my responsibility is to the production and to the cast to protect them. That was my job.”

LaBeouf is known to us for his erratic and unfriendly behavior on and off the set for years now. His such attitudes have resulted in numerous controversies, and scandals and have even led to arrests on many occasions.

Adding a new entry to the list of controversies LaBeouf has been accused by his former partner of relentless abuse and filed a lawsuit against the same while the two were dating. The trial for which is scheduled to start in April next year.

Taking a stand on the actor’s behavior and her take on firing LaBeouf from the project Wilde said, “A lot came to light after this happened that really troubled me, in terms of his behavior.”

She further added “I find myself just really wishing him health and evolution because I believe in restorative justice. But for our film, what we really needed was an energy that was incredibly supportive.

Particularly with a movie like this, I knew that I was going to be asking Florence to be in very vulnerable situations, and my priority was making her feel safe and making her feel supported.”

The role from which LaBeouf was fired was originally offered to Harry Styles but due to his busy schedule, he couldn’t join the project which was provided to LaBeouf later.
