The Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharmaand Commissioner of Police Rakesh Agrawal on Tuesday urged the people of theLudhiana to adhere to the Covid precautions including masking, socialdistancing and washing hand frequently to contain the spread of the Covidcases.
In a meeting with the officials from variousdepartments at Bachat Bhawan, they said that the district has witnessed uptickin the Covid cases and told them to the ensure the strict enforcement of theguidelines issued by Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh regardingrestriction on indoor gathering to 100 and outdoor to 200 persons from March 1in the state.
They further asked the officials to intensifythe awareness drive about the precautions and protocols to keep the Covid atbay in the district.
They appealed the people to be alert andvigilant about the symptoms of the Covid and undergo the test immediately sothat it does not spread further and the positive cases can be quarantined atthe earliest.
They said that the residents of Ludhiana hadplayed their role effectively in containing the Covid successfully by adheringto Covid protocols earlier and now when the cases have been started surgingagain, the people have to ensure their fully support to theadministration.
