
Despite warnings from Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh,PPCC Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu’s advisors are not stopping from making controversialstatements. In the latest development into the matter, Sidhu’s advisorMalvinder Singh Mali took to social media and said Dr Pyare Lal Garg is just anexcuse, in reality; Capt Amarinder wants to target Mr Sidhu on Kartarpur Corridorincident.
Earlier, two of Navjot Sidhu’s advisors- Dr Pyare LalGarg and Malvinder Singh Mali had made remarks on sensitive national issueslike Kashmir and Pakistan. Malvinder Singh Mali on August 18 claimed thatKashmir was a separate country and both India and Pakistan were illegaloccupants. Meanwhile, Dr Pyare Lal Garg questioned Captain Amarinder’s criticismof Pakistan.
Later, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh onSunday warned against such atrocious and ill-conceived comments that werepotentially dangerous to the peace and stability of the state and the country.Captain Amarinder urged Sidhu’s advisors to stick to giving advice to the PPCCpresident and not speak on matters of which they clearly had little or noknowledge, and had no understanding of the implications of their comments.
Apart from this, Mali had posted a controversial sketch aboutformer Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. In this sketch, Indira Gandhi is seenstanding near a pile of human skulls and holding a gun, whose tube also has ahuman skull.
After posting this controversial sketch, there was aruckus in the Punjab Congress.
Then, Mr Mali shared an old Facebook post and launchedanother attack against CM. He said, “Punjab is asking - Don't beat around thebush and answer why the convoy was looted." In his post, Mali questionedthe loan of 3 lakh crores, youth migrating abroad for employment, the suicideof farmers and labourers, and the ongoing farmer's protest at the borders ofDelhi.
In the midst of a controversy, Punjab Congress leaderNavjot Singh Sidhu summoned his advisors Malwinder Singh Mali and Pyare LalGarg to his Patiala residence to review their statements on Pakistan, Kashmir,and Mali's controversial sketch of Indira Gandhi on social media.
