Foreign youths caught selling drugs near LPU’s Main Gate in Phagwara

A Nigerian and a Ugandan Youth were arrested along with the 510 and 235 narcotic pills in their possession

Phagwara’s Satnampura Police has arrested a Nigerian youth and a Ugandan girl along with intoxicating pills. During investigation, it was revealed that both the visitors had come to India on Visa and were staying in a PG near the Law Gate of LPU. Both of them were supplying drugs to youths. At present the police have taken remand of both of them for 2 days.

 

Phagwara SP Gurpreet Singh Gill said that when the police interrogated the woman, she revealed her name as Saudah Akankunda, resident of Uganda Hall, Bath Apartment near Law Gate Maheru. 235 intoxicating pills were recovered from her possession.

 

In the case of Elvan Madu, a resident of Nigeria Hall, the police have recovered 510 narcotic pills from Umicorn-1C Bhalak 202 ago, Greater Noida, Delhi. A case has been registered against both of them under NDPS Act. Gill said that the passports of both have not been recovered at present. At the same time, the police say that both will be interrogated closely.
