Former Chief Minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi died on Monday at the age of 86. Gogoi reportedly has succumbed to the post-Covid-19 complications.
Former CM had been admitted to Guwahati Medical College Hospital since November 2 due to health issues arouse post-Covid-19 and was on non-invasive ventilation.
He had tested positive for Covid-19 on August 25 and was discharged from the hospital on October 25.
Earlier on Monday, his health deteriorated further and doctors said he was "very very critical."
The 86-year-old three-time Congress chief minister, who represents the Titabor Assembly constituency in the Jorhat district, was among 24 legislators from the state to have contracted the infection.
