‘Fukrey’ star Olanokiotan Gbolabo Lucas dies, Farhan Akhtar, Richa Chadda & other stars pay tribute

Olanokiotan Gbolabo Lucas was best known for playing the role of Bobby in the Fukrey series of films.

Actor Olanokiotan Gbolabo Lucas, who was well known for portraying the role of Bobby in Fukrey film series. The other star cast and makers of the film announced the news of the star’s demise and paid tribute to him on social media. 

Actor-producer Farhan Akhtar who supported the film Fukrey on Saturday wrote,  "A dear cast member Olanokiotan Gbolabo Lucas, who played the role of Bobby in the Fukrey film franchise, has passed away. Deepest condolences to his family. You will be missed. RIP," tweeted Farhan Akhtar.

 

Meanwhile, other stars of the film including Richa Chadha, Ali Fazal and Varun Sharma also expressed their grief for the late actor.

Richa Chadha, who played one of the main characters - Bholi Punjaban in both the series of the films, shared a throwback video of Olanokiotan Gbolabo Lucas in his memory. She wrote: "Dear Lucas, this is how I will always remember you... fondly. Thank you for being wonderful, for being a sport and for being such a spreader of joy. Rest in peace, friend."

 

"I still haven't comprehended this news. Rest in peace Lucas. To think we just spoke a few weeks back. It won't be the same without you buddy. To his family and his kids, I hope we all can send in lots of prayers and strength to them at a time like this,” wrote Ali Faizal.

Varun Sharma shared a post in memory of the actor.

 

Directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, the film series is based in Delhi. Fukrey follows a story of four friends - played by Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma and Manjot Singh - who unite to make easy money. Pankaj Tripathi and Richa Chaddha also play an important role in the film series.
