Game of Thrones may have ended, but we're not done with the drama yet.  The prequel of the famous Game of Thrones' has begun the filming at its prominent GOT location. A month after Game of Thrones aired its controversial series finale, it has now been reported that the Game of Thrones prequel is on board. 


As per the reports, the new show goes back to where it all began. Yes, the Talk is about the location of the shoot. The original 'Game of Thrones' filming location will return to square one. The prequel is being shot in Northern Ireland.

Avid Game of Thrones fans would be aware that the majority of the hit HBO series has been shot in the picturesque location of Ireland. It has been the home of the cast for a decade. So it is more of the back to the basics moment for the show makers. 


Jonathan Whitehouse, Miranda Richardson, Naomi Ackie, Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sheila Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp, and Toby Regbo are among others roped in for the prequel. 


While Ireland is the prominent location of the spinoff as of now, there is no clarity if the makers have narrowed down to other countries to be a part of the show. As for the show, it has been reported that Jane Goldman of the X-Men: First Class is the showrunner.

George R.R. Martin and director S.J. Clarkson are by his side. The plot is said to be set thousands of years before King Robert marched into Winter fell in the first episode. Naomi Watts plays a crucial role in the prequel. The reports suggested that the show's title would be ‘The Long Night’. If things fall in place without.
