Gangster Gaurav Patial from Armenia behind Sukhmeet Deputy Murder case, reveals Jalandhar CP

The Commissioner of Police also stated that a police team had been dispatched to Samastipur in Bihar to arrest the remaining accused wanted in Mannapuram Gold robbery.

Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar on Saturday revealed that the police have cracked the high-profile murder of Sukhmeet Singh Deputy by identifying the accused indulged in the crime.

The outgoing CP, who will assume office as DIG Ludhiana Range while relinquishing his charge here pointed out that the said crime was talk of the town and a big challenge for the police, which they had solved within a short span of time. The accused indulged in this crime had been identified as Guarav Patial, notorious gangster Vikas Maley, Puneet of Jalandhar and one another Punjabi youngster. 

These accused have been nominated in the murder case, said the Gurpreet Singh Bhullar adding that Patial was the kingpin, who hatched the entire conspiracy of murder and presently he is in jail of Armenia. The police is working on different aspects to apprehend accused Vikas Maley of Gurgaon and two other accomplices, who committed the crime at Jalandhar.

The Commissioner of Police also stated that a police team had been dispatched to Samastipur in Bihar to arrest the remaining accused wanted in Mannapuram Gold robbery.

On his last day in the office, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar recalled the unflinching cooperation extended by the Jalandhar residents and police officers/officials to ensure better policing. He said that the people had worked shoulder-to-shoulder with police in trying circumstances of COVID-19 pandemic to save precious lives.  

He also mentioned that the close cooperation between people and police teams not only wiped out street crime but also take snatching incidents to a very negligible numbers.

Stating that when he joined in September 2018, Bhullar said that there was two big challenges i.e. murder case of a lady, who was mother of a police officer and blast in Maqsudan police station. Probing both crimes from all scientific and technical angels, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the police had solved these cases in a minimal time, which was a major achievement.
