Gangster-terror nexus: Lawrence Bishnoi’s close associate Naresh Sethi’s premises raided, search at 50 more location underway

Raids in connection to the Gangster Syndicate Matter are being conducted at 50 locations by the National Investigation Agency. The searches include the premises of Naresh Sethi’s residence as well. Gangster Naresh Sethi is a close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi. Reportedly, the team reached the gangster’s house in Haryana at 4 am on Tuesday. It is being said that Sethi’s name has been involved in cases of murder, ransom and many other heinous crimes. For now, the gangster is lodged in Tihar Jail.

According to the sources, the gangs involving these gangsters are raising funds to carry out criminal activities with the help of drugs and weapons’ smuggling. Many cases have involvement of gangsters who terrorize people and extort money from them by promoting criminal syndicates. The case was earlier being handled by the Special Cell, Delhi initially but was later on transferred to NIA.

The National Investigation Agency has said that the gangs based in India as well as abroad hatched a conspiracy to carry out terrorist acts in Delhi and other parts of the country. Till now, 3 places in Bathinda have been raided by NIA that includes the whereabouts of Kabaddi promoter Jagga Jandia, but no information has been received about the arrest of any gangster or his henchmen from these places. This operation has been launched for the second time by NIA in Punjab as the gangsters carrying out criminal activities in the state also have ties with various foreign terrorist organizations.

The DSP-level official who assisted in the raid said that this time the motive is to uproot the nexus between gangsters, narcotic dealers and terrorists.
